I haven’t actually seen the new issue of BusinessWeek out today, but the online version indicates something of a historical moment: for the first time since Bloomberg L.P. took over the magazine, the cover story and its sidebars were all written by staffers from the wire, not the magazine. From studying business to finding a career, developing that career and building upon successes, BusinessWeek will motivate anyone and all companies to achieve higher and will provide you with advice, case studies and guidance from industry insiders. The magazine has some stiff competition, since most of the English language business press does a pretty good job, with the Wall Street Joirnal, Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune, and many others. One of the factors fueling this confidence was the knowledge that there would be many capable people who had lost their jobs but were prepared to invest in starting a business of their own, and this has indeed proven to be the case. Certainly the cover (left) is as hard-hitting as anything the magazine might have produced in its heyday.
