SACC Detroit invited members to the Annual Christmas Luncheon on the 10th of December 2009, at Birmingham Country Club, Birmingham, hosted by Blaire Miller, Melissa and Tom Mark.
During our Annual Meeting, that preceded the Luncheon, the new Board was presented and voted on.
Before we sat down to eat, Ken Enborg, Chairman of SACC Detroit, thanked our former Chairman Urban Lundberg and our former President Frank Wennberg with gifts.
We had the most delicious traditional Swedish JUL BORD. The chefs at Birmingham Country Club, did a great job with all the different kinds of Herring, Grav Lax, Meatballs, Ham and even a perfect Janssons Temptation. A big thank you to all the staff working with this event
The program for the Luncheon was a very well appreciated speech by Greg Main, President and Chief Executive, MEDC, Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The speech was very interesting and Mr. Main talked about Michigan's past and of course the future.
As always we had a wonderful Luncheon with a lot of networking among our guests.
Before we broke up we had a drawing of the raffle. Prices this time was a big Gift basket donated by IKEA, two Wine bottles by Igor Larionow, donated by Global Science and Technology, and an Orrefors wase. Three happy winners picked up their prices with a big smile.
